This notebook is delivering a full display in a 14-inch laptop, and to be precise, the 92 percent design of the screen-to-body rate almost forms a borderless full-screen with an acceptable display.
As Asus has improved the structural design, it’ll give their user experience the difference in style of the full view screen capacity compare to the other laptop in this category.
With the new NanoEdge narrow bezels and some other design modifications, this is a seriously small, light, and compact Asus laptop.
Also, even when compared to the well known 13-inch laptops like MateBook X Pro and XPS 13 9370, the ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 unit is also lighter, weighing just around 1.18 kg or 2.6 pounds with the standard screen.
For some users, the 1.60 cm of thickness still a bit thicker, but again, consider as a slim laptop. Asus company uses the ErgoLift hinge, where you can find on other ZenBook units.
Not only the Asus ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 is featuring impressive portability for its design but also sturdy aluminum material with a premium quality build.
Plus, painted by the royal-blue color makes it one of the elegant, glossy, and durable ultrabooks at the moment.
KEYBOARD & TRACKPAD
For productivity purposes such as word-processing tasks, this little machine comes with a full-size backlit keyboard. Based on Asus’s product descriptions, it delivers an excellent typing experience with an improved typing position.
With the exclusive ErgoLift hinge, it is an engineering masterpiece designed to tilt at the perfect angle for its user comfort.
Besides, its chiclet-style backlit keyboard has a well-spaced design and with just 1.4mm downward amount of keyboard keys travel.
What makes the ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 unique is the trackpad, they’ve replaced the fingerprint reader by a virtual number pad toggle.
The touchpad has a built-in LED-illuminated and switchable numeric keypad which can be accessed when pressing a small icon on the top right corner.
However, many of the reviewers complain this unit has a little deficiency in its sensitivity and on the tap-to-click.
Being able to connect to almost anything is essential when you’re working on the go. So, on this machine, you’ll find a USB-C port, a USB 3.1 input and an HDMI connector, a microSD card slot, a USB 2.0 port, and a headphone/mic combo.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t feature with the Thunderbolt 3, from my personal view I think for a productive notebook within this price category, it should have this kind of port.
The system of the front camera comes with Asus ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 is only at 720 pixels quality that most of the modern laptops have. Although, for some users, Webcam with this quality is not good enough.
However, the manufacturer also claims the advanced infrared (IR) camera on ZenBook 14 has see-in-the-dark capabilities that ensure fast, reliable hands-free face login with Windows Hello.
As for the screen and display quality, with a whole new modification of 4-way Nano-edge bezel Display, it gives us a 14-inch display into a body that you can generally find on a 13-inch laptop.
Plus, the display is quite excellent, as it comes with Wide-View of Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels max screen resolutions.
However, even with the premium design, new LED-illuminated numeric pad, and other significant modifications, Asus still does not include the touch screen capabilities on the ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 screen.
From experience, the ultraportable machine intended for extended battery life. According to the manufacturer, this unit designed to be able to serve its user up to 14 hours of battery life.
Do not expect too much on this because it is probably they’ve tested the battery performance with just minimal processing load, and lowest or half percentage of screen brightness.
Still, this laptop can serve you all day long, and many of its users are very satisfied with the battery life and performance.
Asus ZenBook 14 UX433FA-DH74 is one of the excellent Ultrabooks on the current market, even though it is still not the best ultraportables today. However, it has the potential of showing signs of future success to the ZenBook line.
More than that, this unit is not only design for beauty, sleek, and ultracompact, but also sturdy for operation in harsh environments, including extreme altitudes, temperatures, and humidity.
