The HP Spectre class is a famous HP laptop computer mock-ups that present premium features. As time passes, the manufacturer has taken another step further with the 2018 improvements on both 13.3 and 15.6 inches of Spectre x360 latest series.
As they’ve announced the new design of this convertible machine, HP company also claims of the tremendous improvements in the battery life. It also comes with the latest Intel “Whiskey Lake” processor and added security features.
Thanks to the dual eSIM support and gigabit modem, HP Spectre x360 provided with an optional 4G LTE connectivity and built for Windows Ink.
So with all these features, this unit can be categorized as Windows Tablet such as the Microsoft Surface 2.

The Spectre x360 line is widely known as the convertible laptop model by many, especially for its classy build quality, HP still kept this on the modern reproduction of this unit. In addition to that, the manufacturer also makes it more elegant than its predecessor.
With the aluminum chassis, they’ve modified and provides the convertible Spectre x360 with what most people call the “gem-cut” style, as it forms angular edges.
According to the company, these dual cut edges make the lid easier to lift no matter which sides its users opening it. Since the sides aren’t flat anymore, the fingerprint sensor moves to the main deck.
HP also claims the angled corners on the rear are not just for show. Instead, it has fit with USB-C port (right corner) and power button (left corner), which makes cable management more effortless.
It’s allowed you to change into the adjustable modes without disarranging the plugged-in cable charger.
Just like the previous one, the mentioned laptop compactness is incredible and very light to carry around too, it’s just about 1.3 kg of weight and 1.3 cm of thickness.
KEYBOARD & TRACKPAD
The whole design of its keyboard is excellent and receive much positive feedback. It delivers comfortable keystrokes and satisfying clickiness, the keys are flat and allow for good key-travel.

It has a slightly smoother texture than the keyboard keys, although, it’s not glossy or has illuminated numeric key on it like Asus ZenBook 14.
Just like any other laptop, HP Spectre x360 13 also comes with a rear camera, and it’s the built-in HD webcam with dual array microphone.
Moreover, the webcam becomes one of the outstanding features on this unit, because the HP manufacturer gives a camera kill switch on this laptop, and it electrically turns off the webcam when flipped on.
HP company has come with the same concept for privacy purposes like MateBook X Pro pop-up camera and Lenovo ThinkPad’s ThinkShutter.
By these features, maybe it’s slightly better than those two cameras. Also, an IR camera for Windows Hello for easily log onto your Windows 10.
As for the connectivity, there are two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 capability and a USB-A 3.1 port for connecting advanced monitors, external drives, and many other peripherals.
Moreover, theoretically, it’s also can connect to the external GPU for gaming and graphical performance. Plus, a microSD card reader and headphone or microphone combo jack.
The screen display is a touch screen, installed with the IPS technology for wide viewing angle, and covered with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT, and it is for additional security to help against scratches and drops.
This convertible laptop is a 13.3-inch size, the notebook’s bezel has reduced slightly, but still, the display looks similar to its predecessor.

The manufacturer claims not only this device the have option to add 4G LTE connectivity, but also it can reach 22.5 hours of battery life. However, it most certainly the Spectre x360 with the Core i5 processor and 8GB of memory.
The actual battery life may notably less than they’ve stated on this unit because it’s using the Core i7, it also depends on the configuration and software uses, power management, and other elements.
