Microsoft Surface Book 2 is a 2-in-1 laptop that is comparable to the powerful Apple MacBook Pro in terms of portability and performance. It is the most powerful of convertible Windows laptops available in the current market.

This notebook comes with two versions, and it is the 13 inches and 15-inch model. These models feature an enormous processing power for productivity, both its processor and coprocessor. Plus, the screen resolution and color accuracy are excellent for coding and graphics content displays.

    Wow! Incredible post my friend! Yea my roommate always has at least 2 computers when he’s programming ~ makes sense now after reading!

      Hi Jeff,
      Programming is a broad term, and it depends on what type of programs you develop. In my personal view, if you just started your journey, go for a laptop that you can afford with at least 256 GB SSD (an HDD should be okay with 5400rpm), 4 GB RAM, and the Intel Core i3 (in the last three generations).

    The one thing that is getting harder to find in modern laptops is a good keyboard. Too many machines are being designed with how thin they are inside. Although I’m not a programmer, the biggest determining factor of a laptop is it’s keyboard. I do a lot of writing. Having a good keyboard is something that’ll boast your productivity. It’ll also boast your typing speed thus making you faster at typing.

    Also, stay away from machines with 5400RPM HDDs. I’ve owned many. These hard drivers drag the whole system down to almost a standstill when an application or Windows itself is writing and reading the HDD.

    4GB of RAM isn’t something I’d be using in 2019. Windows 10 already consumes enough. Having Chrome open already puts you at 75% of that 4GB. That’s even if you have 4GBs of that RAM available. A small percentage is usually reserved for VRAM for the onboard graphics. I would say, just go straight for 8GBs even if your just using the machine for basic things.

      Good thoughts you have here, especially on the keyboard and computer memory. Since most people are not only using their laptops for a straightforward reason, you make your message and point very clear there.
      I personally also prefer a minimum of 8 GB RAM, as sometimes I used my laptop for other purposes like for light gaming and designing.
